Solar Net Feed-in Metering โ Tamil Nadu
At Ecopower Infra Pvt. Ltd., we offer end-to-end rooftop solar solutions with TNPDCL-approved Net Feed-in Metering. From system design and installation to approval processing and grid connectivity, we ensure maximum savings and hassle-free implementation for our customers.
The Tamil Nadu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (TNPDCL) has introduced the Solar Net Feed-in Metering Scheme to encourage rooftop solar adoption. Under this scheme, consumers can export excess solar power generated by their rooftop solar systems to the grid and receive monetary credit for the exported units, directly reducing electricity expenses.
๐ How the Net Feed-in Scheme Works
Daytime Generation: Your rooftop solar system generates electricity.
Self-Consumption: Power is first used within your premises.
Excess Export: Surplus power is sent to the TNPDCL grid.
Credit Benefit: Exported units are credited at a tariff rate fixed by TNERC, and reflected in your monthly bill.
๐ Key Features of TANGEDCO Net Feed-in
Eligible: For residential, commercial, and industrial consumers.
System Size: 1 kW to 999 kW (based on sanctioned load).
Metering: A bi-directional (feed-in) meter is installed by TNPDCL.
Tariff Credit: Exported units are credited at feed-in tariff rates notified by TNERC.
Settlement: Credits are adjusted in the consumerโs electricity bill cycle.
